10 years of YEAHBUZZY! Can you believe it? So much younger & clueless on how to plan, launch, retain and grow a business from someone who has never done any of those things. 10 years later, things are so different, yet oddly the same.

In 2016, YBZY began very much as a side gig, storing inventory in our guest bedroom, designing and producing products with folx that took a chance on me, fulfilling online orders from family/friends and putting ourselves “out there” at ATL markets that we love to this day.

Now in 2026, YBZY has grown (organically & bootstrapped) and reaches customers & clients online, via our wholesale partners, markets & events across the country and our retail shop in Atlanta.

YBZY is a “community focused retail brand with design agency elements”. The community pillar has always been and will always be a priority ours. I’ve never thought of myself as a leader or people manager, but it’s something I work at everyday. I’m grateful for my employees, artists/designers that popup in my shop and events I host, non-profits that trust and support me in so many ways, etc. I do not take any of those for granted.

Working as a Designer/Art Director for small design firms & Fortune 500 corporations the first decade of my career, I had no idea how to start my own business. Did I wing it? Absolutely. Did I have support and encouragement from friends & family? Thankfully. Am I still trying to figure it out? Every single day.

One of the most important things I have learned on my career journey is how important small, locally owned businesses are to me. It’s where I belong and I am fortunate to contribute to and exist in. It’s literally the most difficult and challenging thing I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding. I continue to fail and learn from my mistakes everyday. But YBZY is still here! And for that, I have all of you to thank. Thank you for believing in, investing in, discovering and sharing YBZY.

Given the state of the world, the vibe around Pride this year is giving unapologetic… It’s giving loud… It’s giving showing up as authentically as possible. And that means owning, wearing, and displaying your LGBTQ+ identity with reckless abandon.

That’s where we come in. We’ve got more than 50 LGBTQ+ owned and allied brands selling everything from briefs to body wash, candles to coffee, and tons of things in between.

But with Pride specifically in mind, we’ve rounded up our favorite items that especially say, “we’re here, we’re queer, get used to it!”

Whether you’re turning up at your favorite gay bar or want a way signal that you’re a part of the fam while running errands, we’ve got you covered.

Comment how you’re showing up to Pride this year, and shop now at the link in bio.
