Happy to finally release this magical video for WIFE. Link in bio :)

Sydney and I met 10 years ago on set, and I’ve been so lucky to not only call her one of my closest friends, but also a continued collaborator.

She’s always worn so many hats, so when she told me she wanted to creative direct something for me, I was so excited to step into this new chapter with her.

So thankful for this team. We shot it all in my house in one day. ENJOY!!!!

WIFE was written the first day I worked with Lester, and one of my first days back in the studio after six months of quiet in my little La Crescenta house with just me, my guitar and my dog.

I wrote this during Gemini season and the words and melody came out in one stream of consciousness, all at once, without a plan or expectation.

The titles on this project stayed in all caps because that’s how the demos were saved, and most of the vocals are from that first day.

My bridges were freestyles. I let myself stop overthinking and just have fun. Thank you Lester for giving me the space to do that.

I hope you love WIFE. And maybe it could have been me but I’m grateful it wasn’t.

This is the first project where I’ve written all the melodies and lyrics myself. It’s been freeing and really fun.
