L.A FREEWAY WAR PART 3- THE ARMIES REGATHER AND COUNTER ATTACK,,,

As the 5 fwy battle was de-escalating, an unofficial battle between FB and IFK began. FB started as a crew of friends with a similar passion for freeways - TEMPT, ANGST, KEY, DUKE, MURAL, & HYDE. But a batch of new blood came along, in the form of a young crew from South Gate called " BL," or " Busting Loose." The early core consisted of KRAEL, ROC, POSK, AKUA, SWIFT & BASEN. STANS, SUB, AND CAB joined at first. BUT the draft for FB came, and took away Stans, Cab, Sub, and Roc to war. IFK consisted of only ASH, SER, & WISK, but they recruited the young, hungry CHAKA, as well as the very active SLEEZ . The war raged as the other veteran writers like PALE, GIN, POWER, DREAM, CHARLIE, RISK, & VIN stayed out of it andfocused on freeway pieces. SNAP went to do hard time in prison. SKIL focused on piecingproductions with the Earth Crew. IFK pretty much took it by doing those " HEAVENS" . Towards the end, FB went on to focus more on art andother things, while IFK insured the future by introducing a new crop of writers- the famed daredevil OILER, and later the adrenaline fiend, GKAE,,,, FB had one new hitter, BISER FB. The rest is mid and late 90's history.

1989-1990 LA FREEWAY BATTLE PART 2-

The war for 5 fwy escalated, as more 2 man teams formed, now it was not just SKILL& SNAP vs PALE & BRUNO, but PANIC & POIZE, HULK & PLAST, got into the fray.
Over in the west, WISK & SER were hitting the 10, 101 and 405 on that side.
Valley to Dodger Staduim- Pale, Bruno. Panic, Poize, Plast, Baba, Relic, Cine, Plex, Relic, Snap, Smurf kept hitting from the 5 to the 101, 110 , 134, & 118.
East Side- Tempt, Angst, & Key formed FB and focused on the 10 & 60 towards SGV.
South Side- Skill, Skez, Sekio, Griff, Roc, Swift, Krael, Stans, Cab, Sub, System, Semie, Drift, and Nopes, were hittin' the 710, 60, & the 605. The 105 wasn't finished yet.
Central LA-Gin, Sleez, Chaka, Wisk, Ash and Ser were hitting the mid city and downtown parts of the 10.
It was TOTAL CHAOS and mass confusion, as kids were out every night, looking for spots that just got buffed or were virgin still. The buff was going hard too, to the point they had to usea mud -based buff that would come off when it rained!

Speaking of SNAP, and PALE,,,,, My homeboy Basen still had a few negatives & doubles of some of our old work. Back in 1989 -1990 , Snap & I were gettin' busy on the freeways, especially the 5 and the 10. But lo and behold, Pale and Bruno started bangin' on us! So we said, " Aight, Let'sGo! "so we would go out several nights a week, hitting silvers, hollows, and simple colorfills. They did the same. Many spots side by side right after or before each other. At the end of the day, the number of hits could be around 40- 50 each side. The pics were eventually lost over time. Here'sa few that remain. Snap & I would never say we lost, but I think they MIGHT have gotten 5 or 6 more than we did. Those were the days!Rest In Peace to our brother PALE. REMEMBERED IN PAINT!
