There is so much to share from the intimate wedding we created in Mexico last week, and the five days of celebrations and activities. I’m a bit overwhelmed by the impact this wedding had on my heart, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to share a glimpse into what transpired because the beauty of the week extended far beyond anything my team and I could have ever created. Instead, the beauty was manifested by the immense amount of grace, love, kindness and joy that effortlessly flowed from the families we were creating for.

This past week felt like a dream, and a reminder of what it’s really all about. This experience, this family and this couple will forever hold a piece of my heart.

Hi! It’s been awhile so I thought I’d say hello to our Instagram family since I know a few of you have been worried about us.

The last few years I had been working around the clock at a pace that was not sustainable… so I did something about it.

I intentionally took the summer off from weddings to be fully present with my family. I then impulsively deleted instagram off of my phone to ensure I wouldn’t waste this gift of time mindlessly scrolling. While declining all weddings during the busiest part of the season might not seem like the smartest move… it was truly the best thing I’ve ever done. We laughed, played, swam, traveled, created, baked, went on dates, rested, danced and lived life to its fullest. The night before school started Greyson asked me “Dad, can we please have more summers like this?” I sure hope so bud.

I know some of you have been concerned… but truly I am the happiest, healthiest and most joy- filled version of myself that I’ve ever been. I have a refined focus, even bigger dreams, and a renewed realization for the purpose and calling on my life… which at the top of that list is loving and serving my wife and children well. So I’m staking firmer boundaries around this and feel driven to make sure they are the ones that get the best of me.

To everyone who has sent a DM, text, or called directly to check in on us (including those of you who out of concern reached out to my friends, staff and community)… THANK YOU! Your thoughtfulness, love, and encouragement means so much.

In the middle of a season that feels nonstop, I took my family to the city. Turns out that an afternoon ofwatching their eyes light up, hearing their laughter, dancing in the street and simply being present with my family was exactly what I needed.I was reminded that some of the most important moments happen when we choose to pause.

And thank you @dolorispetunia for making these beautiful dresses for the girls. You made them feel all lit up inside.

One year ago today in Costa Palmas,Mexico… and it still makes me emotional looking back on it all…

I’m going to share more from this wedding in the coming days, but with today being Mother’s Day I thought I’d starthere…with these videos I captured of @towle5.

Over the years there has been a handful of people I’ve had the privilege of working with that have left a profound and lasting impression long after the wedding day is over… and this mom is one I’ll never forget for her joy…. grace…. kindness… warmth….intention…love for people…. encouragement and trust. She was a client that quickly became a treasured friend.

Happy Mother’s Day to this beautiful mother, and to all the moms we have the privilege to walk alongside, serve and create for.

Where spring feels like it was written into the story long before the day arrived. Where the air is soft, the light lingers just a moment longer, and every path feels like it leads to something quietly unforgettable.

What a perfect setting to celebrate Leksi and Gavin.

Brought to life by the extraordinary vision of @sinclairandmoore , the design was layered with intention, delicate florals, graceful textures, and a sense of refinement that felt both timeless and deeply personal.

A wedding that felt like stepping into a story…

Set along the banks of the river in the outskirts of Charleston, and inspired by the timeless romance of Pride & Prejudice…every detail held a quiet elegance, a softness, and a sense of meaning that unfolded so beautifully throughout the day.

But more than anything, this celebration reflected her… a bride full of joy, kindness, and warmth- the kind that leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets.

It has been such a gift to walk alongside her family over the past year, planning, dreaming, designing and bringing this vision to life. Watching it all come together and spending the week at @riveroakscharleston is something I’ll hold with me for a long time.

Forever grateful for this experience and the opportunity to serve and create for clients like this.

I’m a little late, but finally sharing a peek into our Easter…

From the sun rising over the rose garden to a day filled with laughter, family traditions, and reminders of what matters most…
Because of the empty tomb there’s new life, lasting hope, and a love that never lets go.

It was an Easter to remember. Forever grateful.

Spent the week with @thehybridco creating a shoot for the attendees to capture and interpret through their own lens.

My inspiration was rooted in classic design and timeless restraint with a subtle nod to the past… like the use of Roman columns separating tiers on the wedding cake, a detail I haven’t used in more than twenty years, but loved revisiting. Don’t miss those hand-made pillars Jordan from @ballerina_baker created out of sugar for this cake.

Design evolves, but classic endures.

A small Christmas Eve tradition, gently evolving…this year with my son beside me on his cello.

He’s only been playing for about four months, but the joy and love he has for music is already so clear. Watching him learn, and sharing this moment together, has been a gift I won’t soon forget. We hope this little piece from his favorite movie ‘Home Alone’brings a bit of warmth to your holiday.
