New beginnings come in unexpected ways. It's Not Like That is coming to Prime Video on May 15.

To kick off Mental Health Awareness Month, I had the chance to visit one of @kidsmentalhealthfoundation’s amazing educational partners in LA, @paralosninosorg. We toured the school, learned more about the incredible work they do supporting kids and families, and I got to spend the day hanging with their 2nd graders ❤️

The kiddos interviewed me using conversation cards created by experts, we played classroom bingo to get to know each other and build community, and even decorated pizzas 🍕 while practicing mindful breathing. I also got to give them a little sneak peek of my new show, @watchitsnotlikethat. Watching their faces light up throughout the day was honestly the best part ✨

I’m realizing more and more how important it is to create safe spaces for kids at an early age so they feel comfortable expressing their emotions and learning how to manage them. Mental health doesn’t have to feel scary or taboo. Organizations like @kidsmentalhealthfoundation are doing such important work by giving families free tools and resources that can truly make a difference.
