New local success story 📢 @urbanscaleinterventions used their @ultimaker S5 3d printers and @filamentive recycled PETG filament to design and manufacture sustainable street lighting in the historic entries of Belfast.

3d printing gives designers and architects the opportunity to be involved in the entire process from design to manufacture. @urbanscaleinterventions responded to an open call to bring #advancedmanufacturing into the heart of the community. 3d printing also opens up opportunities to inspire young people to develop new skills to design and make for the future.

We are incredibly excited to announce our new partnership with @baesystemsair and Lancashire Skills Hub. Thanks to this partnership we will be providing 50 3D printers, into 50 schools in Lancashire. Our aim is to share innovation through #3dprinting by providing 100 teachers with CPD training to reach over 3000 students which will hopefully inspire them and develop their skills ready for future job roles!

Scott is a masters student at @edinburghcollegeofart enrolled in Art, Space and Nature. As carbon dioxide levels continue to rise, Scott is currently researching the efficiency of seaweed at storing carbon and its role in mitigating climate change.
