Apple fans, mark your calendars 📅

In-person invites have started to go out for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, known as WWDC 2026, which begins on June 8 and runs through June 12. The keynote address is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT on June 8 and will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. Other events will include the Platforms State of the Union at 1 p.m. PT, also on June 8.

WWDC 2026 will be Tim Cook's last developers' conference as CEO. In April, the company announced that Apple senior vice president of hardware engineering, John Ternus, will take the reins from Cook in September.

Messages between green and blue bubbles are getting safer 💙💚

With the release of iOS 26.5, end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging will start rolling out in beta for iPhone owners and people on Android phones with the latest version of Google Messages, according to a post from Apple.

For years, there’s been a “blue vs. green bubble” divide between iPhone and Android owners, so it is significant that Apple and Google are working together to bring end-to-end encryption to the GSMA’s RCS Universal Profile.

The feature will gradually roll out to people with an iPhone or Android phone over the coming months.

A new AI-powered pet robot has entered. Meet Familiar.

The inventor of Roomba introduced a snuggly furry robot companion earlier this week for those who can’t have pets, those who already do and those who want the extra supplemental support.

According to the official website, “A Familiar is a warm presence that learns your goals, reinforces healthy routines, and seeks to support you in your daily life.” It learns household rhythms and adapts over time; “encouraging habits you’re building and interrupt patterns you’re breaking, from a paw tap when it’s time to move, to a gentle nudge when you’re doomscrolling.”

However, in a report from the Associate Press, it may take some time before Familiar hits the market.
