Today’s episode features Yurk, a Puerto Rican-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and organizer known for blending Latin, house, techno, and jazz-infused electronic music while staying deeply connected to his Caribbean roots. Founder of the Organized Disorder Music label, Yurk joins us to discuss his new techno-focused moniker, 3RU, and the debut release THE ERU EP.
Conceptually rooted in Tolkien’s creation mythology, THE ERU EP channels a cosmic scope into music reated entirely by human creativity, no AI involved. Across five tracks, 3RU moves through deep hypnotic techno, Latin-tinged percussion, deep house, and raw dancefloor energy, transforming mythic narrative into machine-driven sound.
Released on a limited pressing of 250 vinyl copies, THE ERU EP drops May 11, with the singles “Ilúvatar,” “CIGARAT3,” and “El Ainur” already available on streaming and Bandcamp.
