It’s a really fun time of the year riding slush with the girls in t-shirts, with no one around!

Happy 40th birthday to the legendary base camp duffel.
It’s in my eyes the most useful and iconic product of the whole @thenorthface brand that has followed me on so many adventures carrying my toys around.

Last time we rode properlytogether was 16 years ago for the first Deeper movie on @jeremyjones side and for @picaherry that’s was 18 years ago on that nasty session where I got taken into that slide in Switzerland over 2 km and very nearly perish there.
So that session really meant a lot for me and it felt like yesterday being in the field together. We ve all achieved a lot of things through that time and you can imagine we had a lot to share and a lot of pleasure spending these precious hours together climbing that line.

It’s been a great opportunity to finish the last of my objective on the punta Labiez in Italy for the Roamer project by @yeti

Today’s run was a quick access before the weather would come in and I was super happy to share with my friends @jcverbier @douglas.flockhart and @nathanpyr this little couloir.
The top was quite icy but as always it’s good not to focus too much on that and control every single turn but to use the pickets on the side to manage your speed.
Well that’s the theory at least 😂

A lot of people asked me on my last posts what are the plates I am using to climb up these couloirs.
So these are called cramplifier from @auftriib and they are different from the normal plates which are combined with normal crampons.
It’s been my first day using them last week and all I can say is
that I have been very hapoily surprised by their efficiency . It is a great compromise when you don’t have too technical terrain to climb andit is much quicker and easier to put than normal crampons so in that way super practical.
I also love the fact that they are really rigid so you don’t have the problem of potentially losing your crampons because of the softness of the snowboard boot soles.
So I definitely recommend them.

What do you do when you realise you forgot your ice axes at the car and you are 500 meters up your climb?
You can go down and back up or you can call your filmer and have him strap them onto his drone and fly it you.

Didn’t think it would work, crazy ! It made my day🤟
Maybe one day our filmer will even be able to carry us up there with them

Back in my happy place
Those Norwegian fjords feel really special to me.
So this is run number two in while checking out the region of Finnmark for the first time along the sides of the @arcticsplitfest.
Some good potential🔥, quite a few nice runs lined up. Super excited.
In this one, I got caught up with the bad weather at the top of it, but it was still great
