Thiswas birthed after in September of 2023 I lost my grandmother to Parkinson's disease complications, thus causing a domino effect of me experiencinggrief for the first time. I wanted to entail each emotion of grief I experience, am experiencing, & will experience while going through grief for the first time.. & I wanted to use my artistry & craft as the canvas to paint and encapsulate those stories forevermore.

Thus, languages of grief was born.
The first language is rage & wrath! Not at the death itself, but the disease that lead to the inevitable death of my grandmother...
Parkinson's Disease is an unforgivable and brutal condition & the rage I have for how it took my grandmother from me slowly without mercy is infinite!

This story encompasses that rage of grief.
Being amongst the public & feeling the need to put a facade that everything is ok, taking a moment to delude yourself that everything is fine.
only for ur inner mind to takeover & completely shackle you while you run away from it only to inevitably lose that battle of trying not to acknowledge that rage, that anger, that wrath!

This language was all about expressing that frustration of feeling like I truly couldn't feel my rage at the death of my grandmother & the rage of the condition that slowly caused her death and made her feel all of it slowly till her last breath!
This is a tribute to acknowledge that rage! Give space to that rage, and accept that rage & the sadness and melancholy that comes with that rage after being trapped in that rage internally for so long without holding space for it to exist and breath.

what happens when you give in to the wrath, while rising from the ashes of it in full acceptance of that rage and anger with true sadness being left behind?

This language Honors that rage
Honors that anger
& Honors the grief & lost of losing the most pivotal woman to ever be in my life.

An ode to religious psychosis: a Requiem to religious circumstances by "Aaron KOOKY Williams"

Waacking & Voguing choreography piece by yours truly: KOOKY 007 aka me

I dedicate this performance to all the weird maga religious folk who used religion as an excuse to discriminate against immigrants and say that this whole ice situation was some form of divine retribution from God himself against aliens who aren't a part of this country, this piece was birth from that rage as well as the rage of the ridiculousness that I see in the black church continuously as someone who considers themselves a believer of Christ while also simultaneously living authentically in their queer existence and believing their God loves them nonetheless.

This performance was for a fundraiser to help ice civilians within the Cleveland Ohio / Northeast Ohio district and I am proud to say that we crowdfunded upwards of $700 this night!!!

Congratulations to the ENTIRE cast and organizers of this event and thank you BEYOND to @notwearingwigs @abel_nwilling & @friedavonfreakum
For the opportunity for me to challenge myself to create this &For reaching out to me to partake in this incredible night!

And yeah—I lost this round, but I don’t even care. This was easily the most fun I’ve had walking this category in YEARS.

The joy I had emanated throughout this entire clip and you can feel it through the screen! This was so much fun and extremely unserious and I love every minute of it 🔥🤣
