Part 1 - Last, but certainly not least, Jacob from @lightning.poems telling us about his journey with Word Up! Happy International Poetry day everyone.

The very brilliant @mireyaspoetry Celebrating #nationalpoetryday with our young poets, now at Uni. We love all our poets, but our youngsters add such a breath of fresh air to our events. We asked them to tell us in their own words what Word Up! Has given them.

@unfest_tw is going to be so good this year… check out their listings for 2 days! Of FREE music and spoken word. On Sunday we have one of our favourites @rhikavok headlining and Saturday we have a super surprise special guest ♥️🫶🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽 see you there ♥️

Dan and I both turn 50 in June. We’ve known each other since we went to nursery together aged 3. To celebrate we have finally both published our first books! So please come down and celebrate with us at our next open mic ♥️🫶🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽

What a hoot! Johnny Ball is the real deal. Entertainer through and through, on and off stage. I hung off his every word and it was a total privilege to open for him with a couple of my poems at the @twlitfest today.

In between regaling us with stories of him with The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Mohammad Ali he threw in this line:
