​Designed for early mountaineering use in the late 1970s, the Mountain Jacket introduced a more technical approach to alpine outerwear.​
Made from a resilient 60/40 cotton-nylon blend, it functioned as a protective outer shell, resistant to wind and light rain while remaining breathable, anticipating the layered systems that would later define outdoor clothing.​

In the same period, the Buffalo Check Shirt continued to evolve beyond its original workwear role, becoming a defining visual element across both outdoor and everyday garments.​
