Wild Vessel
by Dexter Anthony
florals, shaped by hand and thought.

‘Vessels, In Another Life’
This idea came quite naturally. From the workshops I’ve been hosting, we’ve always tried to use everything we have like the blooms, the leaves, the fallouts. Nothing wasted, just repurposed. (Atleast I tried to)
I guess that thinking followed me home.
Looking at the bottles I’ve kept from @aesop over the years, they started to feel like witnesses of routines.
So why not give them another life?
As vessels, this time holding florals.
‘Vessels, In Another Life’ just felt like the right name.

This marks the end of a little chapter, In The Quiet Bloom by @theobjects.store, @wild_vessel and @a_____longtable
Not a big carousel moment, just quiet snippets from the day, all shot on iPhone. When I started @wild_vessel this year, I always imagined creating moments where we could make things with our hands again. And this felt like that reminder.
Together with @theobjects.store and @a_____longtable, we shaped an experience that was more than a workshop. Every detail — the scent, the textures, the visuals, even the tea, was a small thread that held the day together.
Maybe it’s because we live in a city that rarely pauses, but hosting this in the middle of Chinatown felt special. There was stillness, somehow even with the noise outside.
Thank you to everyone who signed up and spent the afternoon with us, for your openness and your presence. Seeing everyone’s own version of a “wild vessel” made me super happy!
Grateful for @toocooltodance , @theobject.store and @a_long_table for bringing this to life <3

A shared creation between @theobjects.store, @wild_vessel, and @a_____longtable — shaped through materials, and intention.
Each bloom, each ingredient, carries the same story, what’s arranged by hand returns later to the table in taste and form.
What we touch, we taste.
What we create, we share.

‘In The Quiet Bloom’
This workshop carries a quieter tone, one rooted in intention. Every element, the space, the scent in the air, the tea they will sip, was considered with care.
Each stem, each gesture, each pause is part of the experience. It is less about creating something perfect, and more about noticing, how things feel, smell, and unfold. A gentle study in presence, shaped by hand and thought.

Story Time: One time when I was just randomly giving out the arrangements that I did, and @birdbirdlee told me that the colours that we choose are all related to how we feel that day. Each colour basically has a meaning — whether it’s sad, happy, chaotic and etc. That kinda blew my mind haha!
Even the outfit that I was wearing (all blue) was a choice that our mind unconsciously made based on how we felt that day. So it’s super interesting, got me thinking about it almost everyday.
I might not fully understand the theory behind the colours… which I think I should, one of these days haha, but it’s very beautiful how we perceive colours and how it makes a difference, or even changes perception from others. This story is super random but I’m just happy I got to know this hahaha
It’s funny how something as simple as colour can tell so much about where we are in life — sometimes, even before we notice it ourselves.

“Wild Vessel” came from the inspiration of a broken vase I once worked with. It’s about merging two things I love, wild flowers and interesting vessels
The logo actually started as a random sketch in my journal. I passed it to @emajor7, and he worked his magic and that’s how we ended up with what you see now.
This marks something new for me, where I get to share something beyond directing, something creative and tangible that I can share with the people around me!
Here are some of the floral pieces I did in August (not all though, haha) Working with my hands again has been something I truly missed, and I’m so glad to be back at it <3

CYANO: The Blue Frequency — A Floral Workshop by @wild_vessel & @rarehausstudio
This workshop extends from the exhibition CYANO: The Blue Frequency, an opportunity to translate the language of blue through touch and form.
Guided by @wild_vessel, guests will create sculptural arrangements composed of blue florals and chromatic vessels; objects that hold stillness and reflection. The experience unfolds in slow rhythm. Hands at work, and scent filling the air.
A dessert by @thelinekitchen and selected kombuchas by @fafaba.kl accompany the process, each element curated to complement the afternoon’s tone and quietness.
Guests will leave with a vessel of their own making, a fragment of CYANO to return home with, a resonance that lingers softly in blue.
