Five more one hit wonders from the 1990’s!! This batch specifically includes female singers and songwriters!! These are all incredible songs, sure to unlock core memories? Who did I miss? What memories come to mind when you hear these??

Shawn Colvin went on to win a Grammy for Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Sunny Came Home.” Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes went on to produce and wrote several other hits, but this was the only hit by 4 Non Blondes.

This was such a cool era of music! Most of these songs had really cool guitar solos worked in as well. I love this era - you couldn’t escape these songs at the time!! Give it up for these women of rock and folk 🤘👏

Five bands from the swing and big band revival of the 1990’s. Yes, from about 1996 - 1999 there was a resurgence of swing and big band acts. It was huge. Whether or not you’re into this kind of music, if you grew up in the 90’s, you could not escape some of these songs on the radio.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Royal Crown Revue were in movies - “Swingers,” and “The Mask,” respectively. Voodoo Daddy played the Super Bowl in 1999. Brian Setzer Orchestra won a Grammy!! It was a huge moment for this genre. As a band geek, growing up in the 90’s, I loved it.
