The revolution will not be mapped. Posted @withregram@decolonialatlas Taiwanese Indigenous peoples, constituting 2% of island's population, are minorities in their own lands. Taiwan has been colonized by the Spanish (1626-1642), the Dutch (1624-1662), Ming Dynasty loyalist Koxinga (1662-1683), the Qing Dynasty (1663-1895), the Japanese (1895-1945), and the Republic of China (1945 to the present) (also claimed by the PRC).⠀

Forced relocations affected more than half of Taiwanese Indigenous peoples during the Japanese period and strongly undermined traditional governance and social structures. Today, the island's west-coast Indigenous languages are mostly dormant, and the east-coast languages are mostly endangered.

Costa Rica's COVID case 7 day average looks so low compared to other countries. This is because they don't collect data on Sundays and don't adjust for it in the calculations. Data biographies are essential for equity in data.
