Behold, the basement bathroom.

It’s not sexy. The kids love it because there’s a tub. We’re just glad they no longer bathe in a sink.

We painted the concrete to look sorta like terrazzo.

We had some fun with color. And built a built-in. We bought IKEA stuff and hung a funky mirror originally bought for another location.

We like doing the best we can with what we have.

We don’t really DO motion design…but the tools are getting better, more accessible. Now when we design identities, there’s always this thought…”but what if it could move?” I love the last little nudge into the space in the above animation. It represents that little something extra, that last effort to get it just right.

Chances are, if there’s some art direction behind it, it can be brought to life.

Speaking of life, this is what I do now. Joe McNeill Design is now Wayform Studio. We’re a variety of things. Boring is not one of them. We lead with curiosity, not ego. We do architecture, brand design, and @caitlin_ranson does flowers @wayformevents

As it says on the website, we’re obsessed with your space. We provide insight into what’s spatially possible by employing design, art, and craft- experience acquired through a deep commitment to curiosity.

We do not have boundaries.

We ask questions.

We make mistkaes.

We learn.

We seek to continue the conversation rather than diverge from it.

Currently, we’re wrapping up some of these larger brand projects that have been posted. We’re working on a small warehouse design in for permit, a corner store bodega layout, a second website for a client, a couple of small house renos with an associate architect, AND upping our stake here on Instagram, for better or worse.
