MEET THE FILMMAKER: Aaron Foster (@aaroncharlesfoster) has done almost every job imaginable in hopes of denying his one true love- filmmaking. Life as a serial entrepreneur in the worlds of home furnishings, art, sports nutrition and restaurants were lengthy and elaborate distractions, but his love of movies and their ability to make us feel less alone overcame them all.

Now, well past middle age, Foster has finally started making the films he always wanted to. He’s written, starred in and produced several shorts and is now working on his first feature, hoping to begin shooting in the Fall of 2026.

“When I was 14, I saw Stand By Me in the theater and it changed my life. When River Phoenix broke down and said he wanted to “go someplace where nobody knows me” - I didn’t know anyone else felt like that. It made me feel less alone. That’s what I want my movies to do, too.”

Meet The Filmmaker: Eve Crusto (@allaboutevecrusto) is a writer, director, producer, and mother on a mission to bring her Louisiana Creole stories about home, belonging, identity, legacy, and female generations to life. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College, a Louisiana Teacher Certification via Teach For America, and a MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Screenwriting Competition Finalist, a winner of the 2020 International Centre for Women Playwrights Development Grant, and a finalist for the 2021 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. Eve was a Staff Writer for FRIGHT KREWE on Hulu/Disney+ and recently was a Creative Development Executive at DramaBox. She is currently freelance writing micro dramas, producing two short films, and developing a live-action TV drama series. Eve lives in Los Angeles, but New Orleans lives in her.

MEET THE FILMMAKER: Shaler Keenum (@shalerkeenum) is an award winning filmmaker born and raised in Texas whose films have played at dozens of festivals across the country. Shaler grew up on stories and loves using filmmaking to explore ideas and characters. He studied filmmaking at Baylor University and now travels Texas making short documentaries about farmers and ranchers across the state. @shalerfilms
