Part of my journey as an illustrator was learning screen printing and that process heavily informed my style early on. I was really into gig posters and movie posters and loved trying to understand how those artists used limited color pallets and layering techniques to create intricate work that could be broken down into 3-4 color layers. As the years have gone on, I’ve definitely wandered into a more fully digital aesthetic that is untethered from the restrictions of screen printing , but I’d like to try to get back to doing work that could be screen printed, even if it never is (I was unfortunately pretty bad at the actual craft of printing, although I tried hard to be good at it) So idk, do we like this? Trying to evolve my style as an artist is kinda uncomfortable, but I gotta do it because I’m honestly kind of sick of my work and I guess I gotta like what I do if I’m gonna keep doing it. Let me know in the comments what you think if you even read this far👇

New work for @ringer profile on KD as he approaches passing MJ on the all-time scoring list. Thanks @bartlettstudio for bringing me on board for this

I figured at some point we would see someone pass Kobe’s 81 point game, but I did not think it would be Bam Adebayo doing it. Incredible feat from a great player
Please enjoy thisprocess vid for my Tracy McGrady illustration. Sometimes people ask me how I make the background for these illustrations, I just draw stuff and make shapes until it feels like there’s enough stuff!

New work for… no one! I don’t have a lot of work coming in at the moment so I have to draw very detailed illustrations of my favorite basketball players in order to keep the negative thoughts from creeping in and hope that it leads to work. This is my first time doing this style in a while, do I still got it? 🤔
