Dear running,

Thank you for showing up into my life at a very young age even though you were always weaponized against my peers & I during practice. I turned my pain into power when I rekindled our relationship. Now I love you everytime you show up differently road, trail or distance. You always have a surprise for me. May it be scenery, destination or people. Every time you challenge me. There's no faking it with you, and I love that about you because we're the same! On a deeper level, you brought something into my life that I didn't know I needed.
Running has a bigger picture it's not about the pace it's about the ppl you meet along the way. The community you build to get to the destination you're seeking. You see, you can't get to the destination without the highs & lows, the hurdles, the bumps or the brusies. The ppl you meet along the way that become your community, become something special. Like magic they show up and give you so much power and somehow we muster up the courage to believe in great dreams. Dreams of running a 5k, then a 10k a half then the distance a marathon 26.2 miles. Then sometimes we experiment with our bodies and push pass a marathon and you know who shows up community. They just work their magic at start lines, side lines, finish lines. They're in your DM with well wishes, prayers & encouragement. Theyre at a community run handing you supplies. Others show up at your home with fuel and some bless you with their hard earned money to help a dream become reality. Sometimes they become completely selfless and fly across the country for a week to support you. Other times they pull up on you in the middle of no where on day 2 into a 300 mile race because they believe in your power, they want to see you succeed. They take care of your nasty swollen blistered feet, feed you, make sure your hydrated, keep you safe scaring off dogs & wildlife throughout the 100s of miles they rock out with you. They'll watch YouTube videos on how to massage your pain away in the middle of the night as you trek through the dark. They leave you breathless with their gestures and a bucket that is over flowing with thankfulness.

Walking in the pitch black dark
Looking at the stars &
Searching for the moon
Laughing every time I fellย

Sending me to bed &
Waking me up with your cold fingers
Tapping my toes after short rests
Venus are you awake? It's time to get up
Making sure I ate & drank
Taking care of my wounds

Conversations to silence

Laughing every time I fellย
Which was everyday
Sending me to bed &
Waking me up with your cold fingers
Tapping my toes after short rests
Venus are you awake? It's time to get up
Making sure I ate & drank
Taking care of my wounds
Massaging my sore muscles
Stopping at random roadside places
For some good food or a cold drink
Protecting me from
Dogs, foxes, rattlesnakes, creeps &
Anything else we encountered
Situations arised
You handled them with ease
Conversations to silence
You just knew my vibe
The pitter patter of your feet
A sound I will never forget
Like a song you can't get out of your head
I am forever thankful to have
Experienced this with you
Everyone deserves an Eddie in their corner
I'm just so thankful and grateful
He was in mine

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY
๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
I LOVE YOU WITH EVERYTHING IN ME

March 22nd is and will always be my favorite day of the year!
Help me wish my beautiful identical twin baby girls Mikahla & Mallory a HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY ๐ŸŽ‰

My girls are amazing humans. They're so kind, loving, thoughtful and of course beautiful. They are both on the high honor roll. Who knew there was such a thing!?! This year they will be graduating JHS. Both of them got accepted into an excellent AP college prep program for HS. They are currently studying to take regents exams while in JHS so they can enter HS already having HS credits. Everyday I just feel so blessed. Thank you to the good lord for instilling his trust in me with two precious beings.

๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ๐ŸŸฃ

Today was so hard every long run I cried
Everytime I talked about leaving I cried
Everytime I thought about it I cried
If you KNOW me, you know how much I love my girls and how much I pour into them. When my daughter told me it was OK to goand accomplish this goal, it told me all I needed to know. However, it was still very hard to purchase my flight, knowing it is their birthday.

The Bronx Bus Project

Hello everyone,

This is an idea I came up with in order to make my long runs a little more fun while I train for
THE SPEED PROJECT instead of running the same routes over and over. This will not only change the scenery but will also allow those that join to see the different neighborhoods, cultures, buildings and the vibe that the borough I love so much has to offer.

I ๐Ÿ’œ The Bronx!

๐ŸŒŸ You don't have to run to support this

The journey to the start line of
"The Speed Project"
A 340 mile ultra marathon

I have all the reasons to quit
Before I even get started

A couple days before the race it will be my twins birthday. I will unfortunately miss their birthday in order to compete. I am heartbroken, I had to grieve this. I had to have a sit down with my children and speak about this situation. This will be the first time I ever miss a birthday.
I then had to grieve that Mike cannot come with me. My rock, my backbone, my person. I've been a very lucky girl to be able to have him in my corner at every marathon or ultra in any state we've ventured off too. I physically will not have his support.

He says I'll be ok
He believes in my strength physically and mentally
I told him he knows me best

I have all the reasons to quit before I start.
I refuse to quit before I start.

I refuse to quit before I start.
