In response to my last post over at @jtwebb94 It is interesting to watch others graduate when the time for myself is so close, it’s like just missing a train that has left the station. While that normally sucks, for me it’s just a reminder of each step I take is one that has been divinely appointed by God and that’s completely and totally fine. So just knowing that my train is coming, is enough for me in this moment. Is it enough for you?

In review some of the film scans that I just got back, I am astounded by the providence of the Lord in the pictures that I have taken.
This one especially speaks to the anxiety and stress that has been especially present lately. I am continually praying about next steps and what lies after school, and beyond, everything between job, housing, debt, and friend groups. It’s all been almost too overwhelming. With all this adding together, I’ve been learning many things, about my self, my situation, my stress, and just how stressful life is.
So, this picture speaks deeply to me, as the corner in this picture is in sight and the direction it goes is visible, but where it goes is not visible. It is a reminder that all I need is just the very next step and that the moment to live in is now, not the future. Now this is not to say, don’t plan, but plan with God’s will in mind and to remember that the plans of man will pass.
So that leads me to ask all who read this to pray to God on my behalf for the peace and understanding to be content in just having the next step and that it is all that I need.

With the weather getting colder everyday, it’s photographs like this one that remind me of the warmth that until recently flooded Chicago, that filled with abundant life, and the warm glow of the sun. But today as it rains, I can only live in the memory of the day when this photo was taken and bask in the memory of that sun. .

I’ve been going through some of my recent photos that I have not really had the chance to look through and I found this one. It speaks deeply to me right now as my life has been hectic and busy as can be. So the stillness of this photo and the slow movement that it holds is just so calming and peaceful to my soul.
I hope that you can find peace in this photo the same way that I have.

As I reflect on this photo, it has always had two reactions for me. Some days this picture screams excitement, joy, adventure, and momentum, while on other days this picture whispers loneliness, depression, fear, and insecurity.
I am often bound in a perpetual battle between the two of these reactions, sometimes it is a vicious cycle.
But in these two reactions is something much deeper, a reality about the world that I perceive. The more that I reflect on what this picture represents to my soul, I realize that it is a reflection of me, something that draws me deeper into myself and into knowing who I am all the more.
This photo represents the tension within myself at all times, it resembles the stress that often plagues me day in and out.
But through this, I must remember to keep pressing forward, deeper into the forward perspective, not because I want to be happy all the time, but because I want to find the balance between the two that continues to drive me forward as opposed to drawing me back into myself.
And in this desire to move forward, I need to look outside of myself and into helping others all the more.
So, in that forward momentum, what does this photo say to you?

As I reflect on my internship this week, I can’t help but be remind of the books that are still open, the loose ends that are still there, and the words that were never said.
As painful as these things are, I can only try and see things from above, to see the bigger picture. I can only hope that I can have the opportunity to close those books, ties those loose ends, and to say the words I should have said.But, for now, I will remember the good parts of those books that are still open, no latter how short they are, and pray for a higher view to see the bigger picture.

Shadowed by those that followed it, this car is a representation of the older days, when things were different.
And while different isn’t always wrong, I’m some instances it is.
When we hold onto the past, we hold onto our mistakes and we don’t grow. Rather we step in our some of our shitting decisions and it only makes us worse. It’s like trying to bathe in pig pen, you might look cleaner, but really your just as filthy if not more so.
So, while the last holds some incredible memories, mistakes, and successes, having the maturity and ability to let go and move forward, will make you a better person.

I was recently struck with the realization of how our surroundings, no matter how man made, influence our perception of theworld. What we see around us ultimately stays in or minds subconsciously and may even make up the structure of our mental maps.
It is in our minds in a way that we cannot forget. So we should figure out how to view it in a way that glorifies God.
This leads to my realization, that every structure made by man, was inspired in some capacity by the Creator, God, who is the ultimate architect.
Which leads me to my point, that our perception of the world and the objects around us can lead us into the worship of the Creator.
