... and here is the song that I love and almost nobody else did in the Eurovision song contest i really thought it was unfair so i have to big it up here. I mean it's funny, very surrealist and comedic with the sweet lovely old school PCs - and the lyrics are cool too! I really can't understand why only one person liked it, i love it! So there's no shortage of days for a better world, but the world is not getting better on the scale that it should, instead we are seeing one new war after another. What's going on?

thanks to the guys from World Beyond War, for telling us about this important event which was yesterday! I saw this here in Carlisle inside the lovely Hardwicke Circus Roundabout! Go and look, there's some great posters up there, and a slab that was put there 1o years ago for this day!
So here's a day to remind us, and to encourage us that we can stop our world from being in trouble!

Backlog news: Dawn Chorus and Migration of Birds: on Saturday the 9th it was International Bird Migration Day, and just like on Dan Chorus Day I got up early and recorded their ingenious singing at the crack of dawn. Even during the day they are amazing but at dawn they are even more multi-melodious! What you see here is actually a pond with a big lovely log in it, and it's places like this with a lot of trees and water, that are a super cuddly environment for birds, the migratory ones as well as the resident ones - both of which contribute to the dawn chorus!
So let's celebrate all those who migrate and all those who don't migrate because they are all important for us! (What birds and us have in common....)

This is the most astonishing pic I've ever took, to catch the sun in just this ray-way! What I was going to do is to talk about my foraging forays on the banks of the River Eden at the back of Bitts Park + it's wild garlic I am holding there and there's lots of it.
When I got home I out some of the wild garlic in my soup and some iny salad, and in both dishes it was yummy! So I can highly recoommend picking some of that seasonal wild garlic found in white a few places outdoors, and thej have it as a proper natural herb!

...at the end of the amazing Geopoetics meeting, we watched a wonderful film about poet Kenneth White by Francois Reichenbach, a superb filmmaker of the French Nouvelle Vague. The film was 'Kenneth White in the footsteps of Matsuo Basho', and it was the first ever showing of this outstanding film in the UK.

Back at the Geopoetics meeting, we had some great conversations at the Fossil Grove garden in Victoria Park Glasgow, leading to somewhere between growth and renewed fossilisation - which is really nature's way of archiving, so it's all good!
