Yeah, I’ve been living in a cave. But the nice thing about living in a cave is that you can count on unique, haunting acoustics.

I’m excited to announce Drum Squircle, a split EP I’ve put out with David B. Applegate. It’s a bunch of frenzied drum tracks we recorded in our caverns. My half is made with Max 9. His half is made with drum machines, samplers, and pedals.

This is for fans of drums, percussion, and DMT. Play it in your favorite cave, man.

Meemaw taught us to conserve CPU, so I’m running homemade midi from her favorite Max/MSP patch into Reaper instead of Ableton. Reaper holds a few instances of Pianoteq (can you taste those chords?), two tracks with Sforzando for some general midi instruments, and OG Synplant for extra spice. 4% cpu instead of the usual 44%. Don’t tell Papaw, he’s an Ableton man.
