I graduated from CSU John Marshall College of Law many many moons ago.So it was with great delight that I learned that tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th, is Tim Misny Bobble-head Night for the men’s varsity game at 7:00 p.m. at the Wolstein Center.As a precursor to tomorrow's activities, head coach Rob Summers extended a gracious invitation for me to speak with his coaching staff and players today after practice.We talked freely about life’s challenges and what it takes to overcome them.I found their questions to be insightful and engaging.We covered a lot of ground.I’m very excited for tomorrow’s game.The first 2,000 folks to pass through the turnstiles will receive a free Tim Misny Bobble-head.During one of the time outs, I, along with the cheerleaders, plan on unveiling a new cheer to rally the crowd.Take a wild guess as to what it is. As you may know, there are two separate and distinct projects about yours truly that are being produced as we speak.One is the Misny Movie which is an authentic biography about my life.A release date is anticipated for early next year.The second is called The Adventures of Tim Misny which is a surreal romp into the land of AI by award winning filmmaker Moe Taylor.Moe recently shared with me a snippet of the first couple episodes.Apparently, it has received some rave reviews and awards at a variety of film festivals.This clip is a teaser for the episodic series.According to Moe, there is no firm date for its completion and general release.It looks like I’m doing a good job fighting the ocean, but my question is, why couldn’t he have me doing it with a flowing mane of hair?? #braindaggerfilms

This past Saturday I had an absolute blast at Carol & John’s Comic Shop (www.cnjcomics.com) in Kamm’s Plaza on 17462 Lorain Ave.Let me tell you why.The first reason is that as a kid, I pretty much learned to read by devouring comic books.So, when I was asked to visit Carol & John’s, the owner John Dudas told me that his grandfather was an immigrant from Slovakia, just like my grandfather.He was able to speak English, but had a difficult time reading, so he took up reading comic books and became fluent.That was the seed that sprouted into the family business.John is a Lieutenant at the Cleveland Fire Department for nearly 40 years and also manages the store.Every year he has a special event whereby local artists pick a personality and feature them on the cover of a comic book that are then raffled off. All of the proceeds go to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank.So far, they have raised money to facilitate 200,000 meals for folks in need.I was most humbled when I got a call from Bob Peck and he told me that he had selected me to be on the cover of his latest work of art.The theme is Lex Luther comes to our town to take it over and he thinks because of my billboards, I am the guy who will defend the city and in essence be his arch nemesis.Well, you know what?He is right about that!Bob Peck is a prolific and gifted artist who has composed several outdoor renderings throughout Cleveland.He has also been contracted by many businesses to do amazing abstract interior designs.You can check his genius out at :www.saatchiart.com/bobpeckart.I was asked to autograph the magazine before it was auctioned off.It was a real thrill to be included in this project.It was ironic that Bob selected Lex Luther to be my nemesis, because in real life I have played Lex Luther with Superhero’s for Kids. At a recent visit to Fahrenheit Restaurant on Public Square in Downtown Cleveland, staff member Marleina surprised me with this pose.For the first time in quite a while I was totally lost for words!Chef Rocco treated us with a most remarkable culinary experience.As a seasoned cook, I have great appreciation for everything that goes into making a meal great, from the ingredients to the recipes, and the final presentation.Chef Rocco is an amazing success story.As a young man from Mentor, he found his passion in food and has paid his dues which included working with the internationally renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.Each meal is a masterpiece.His work ethic is unparalleled and at the core of it all is a consummate gentleman.I have much respect for this self-made man.

I was simply blown away today by a visit from Caid McKinley who came on behalf of the Governor or Kentucky, Andy Beshear.According to Mr. McKinley, because of my lifetime of community service, I have been commissioned as a Colonel of Kentucky.As I told Mr. McKinley, I have dedicated my life to the service of others in their pursuit of justice.Awards and recognition were never even an abstract consideration.But I have to tell you, this lifetime commission is pretty gosh darn cool.Some of the previous recipients were Teddy Roosevalt, Walt Disney, Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame, Elvis Preseley. I asked Mr. McKinely if he thought that my kids might listen to me a little more now that I am a Colonel.He laughed and rolled his eyes.Notwithstanding that, this distinction will be a constant reminder to me to continue the “good fight” on behalf of people who, without my help, would have absolutely no chance of justice.I would be remiss if I did not give Mr. McKinley a profound and wholehearted note of appreciation.He is first and foremost a consummate gentleman, a man of faith, a family man, and a man of service.He is as humble as he is accomplished.Meeting someone like him only inspires me to try harder, especially when fatigue sets in.He is a shining example of leaving this world a better place than when we found it.
