I just met up with @dan_shoe_hsu, the former editor-in-chief for my favorite magazine as a kid, Electronic Gaming Monthly… otherwise known as EGM. I was a subscriber to this magazine for many years and it was my gateway to the world of gaming (outside of the actual games themselves) especially in a pre-Internet world. Many people seem to cite Mad Magazine or Fangoria as their ultimate magazine but EGM was that for me growing up. I interviewed Dan for my gaming podcast @gaminggaiden a little while back so I got to know him a little then but it was such a pleasure to meet in person. To this day, every time I open my mailbox, I still remember that excitement for the possibility that the latest EGM might be in there. I just wish he’d tell me who Sushi-X was already.
