Mis días siempre comienzan con la rutina de pasear an mis perros y tomarme un café, pero hoy se sintió diferente. La certeza de haber cumplido una meta que estuvo en mi mente por 20 años es una sensación que nunca había experimentado, and I love that. No puedo creer que hoy esa rutina incluyó ver mi diseño en el website oficia de Nike, una marca con la que me siento identificado desde niño y que siempre estuvo en mi top de proyectos ideales como creativo. Hoy es una realidad, está pasando y ¡NO LO PUEDO CREER! Que alguien me pellizque para ver si estoy despierto.

Hay mucha felicidad en mi, aprendiendo a recibir y apreciar el momento. Es el comienzo de lo mejor. Le di un abrazo a la versión de mi del 2003 que empezó a estudiar diseño proyectando que esto sucediera. Nadie se mantiene en el proceso tantos años sin la confianza ciega. Para otros era un imposible, para mí era la meta.

Awake is one of my favorite local clothing brands here in New York. I woke up today thinking about their iconic logo; something always felt a bit off from a design standpoint. I looked closely, and I found a few inconsistencies in the letter’s weight, especially in the A and K. I’ve also noticed the arm on the K looks thicker than the rest of the swashes.

I wanted to see what a cleaner version would look like from my perspective. With all due respect, here is my updated logo for @awakenewyorkclothing
