A few things I’ve learned being sober in the industry..
I’ve been sober over a year now and it’s been a tough journey but it’s gets easier as you go I recommend taking some time away from bars to set up new routines and set some boundaries I personally never did AA or even felt like I had a bad problem with drinking I just knew It didn’t serve me and what I’m looking to accomplish in life.
I DONT avoid alcohol i simply have repeatedly practiced my will power to say no, I still go to bars, I still smell the wine, I still go to my friends DJ sets and shows!
Your true friends that were never using you for free shots or alcohol will be the ones who support you.
I’ve noticed it’s becoming more and more normalized to be sober and I feel more support then ever, however I still at times wanna alter my mood so I reach for things like thc/cbd or the occasional micro dose of 🍄 knowing that I won’t be hungover or be hurting my body’s ability to naturally be happy!
Being 100% sober isn’t the right move for everyone and I understand that but what I do try to ask of my peers is that you are conscience and considering what we’re doing to our self’s when we drink to excess and to becoming more informed and intentional with the way we drink alcohol,
