Shot over three years, Finding Ground is about returning to something essential. A personal ritual that became a shared experience.
It’s about reconnecting—with self, with others, and with the elemental.

I feel touched by your soul — thank you for being part of my life.
A true rockstar spirit, gone too early.
I met Tim on assignment for Vanity Fair, photographing him for a portrait story about his work as a writer. We became friends over the years in Brooklyn. He helped me write the introduction for my award-winning book African Arenas. His presence, his words, his energy — all unforgettable.
I miss you, my friend.
I’m sure we’ll meet again somewhere in this universe.
Tim passed away from pancreatic cancer yesterday.
My heart goes out to his wife Erin, and their children Greta and Augie.
The photo I took of him in Brooklyn, around 2017, was for his upcoming book.Burning Down the Haus: Punk Rock, Revolution, and the Fall of the Berlin Wall.
Sharing it now with love and gratitude.#timmohr
