I’m thrilled that my big brother, Luther Vandross, has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of fame! We spent hours and hours in the studio over a 15-year period, shoulder to shoulder with Nat Adderley Jr. and Luther’s engineer, Ray Bardani, writing, producing and making sure those mixes were perfect!

Luther was one of the most gifted, musical, passionate, creative people I’ve ever met. He deserves this honor more than any artist I know. He now joins the pantheon of immortal R&B legends like Aretha, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder.

Luther would be absolutely thrilled to receive this honor. Correction: Luther IS absolutely thrilled!He’s always here with us because his music, without a doubt, lives forever.

What a beautiful time we had at Berk’s Jazz Festival this past Saturday. If you were in the Philadelphia area, I hope you were able to experience this very special show.
