If you’ve been listening to my music for a long time, then you know the name Basik. My cousin Basik has been on almost every album of mine since 4 tracks LA and back. He’s one of my favorite people, and favorite rappers. The song itself is about the blessing of being your own boss, along with the challenges. When I sent him the song to write to, I had no idea he was now an owner of an organic wine bar in Santa Monica. Basik has been successful in every avenue he’s chosen, and @offhandwinebar is another testament to that. Shooting at his spot was an obvious for the video. And although I myself don’t drink, it wasn’t about that. It’s about continuing to follow the path of a self made person. Hope you guys dig this.
