Nathan Coley’s first museum solo exhibition in Korea, 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙒𝙄𝙇𝙇 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙄𝙈𝘼𝙂𝙄𝙉𝙀, is currently on view at the Pohang Museum of Steel Art.

Today we celebrate Park Suk Won (@swpark41) who was born #onthisday 🎊

Park Suk Won (b.1942) is a leading figure in the history of Korean contemporary sculpture. The experience of the Korean War and other significant political uprisings in Korea led him to develop his philosophy that pursues the fundamental value of existing beings. As a sculptor, he embraces the properties of the materials, refraining from figurative images and aligning himself with neutrality. The key elements of his practice are repetition, re-assembly, and accumulation. Though the repetition of simplistic forms resonates with the Minimalism of the West, Park Suk Won distinguishes himself by using nature-based materials, establishing the philosophy of Korean Minimalism.

The Page Gallery presents 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙀, a solo exhibition by Seoul-based artist Vio Choe (b. 1971), on view from April 15 to May 30. Four years after his 2022 solo exhibition Observer at The Page Gallery, this exhibition newly examines the artist’s long-standing inquiry into time through painting and installation. Here, time is not treated as something represented on a surface, but as a condition that shapes both the making of the work and the experience of viewing it. The title 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙀 refers to a state in which different temporalities intersect and connect within a single surface and space, condensing the structure of both the works and the exhibition as a whole.

Now open @ARTBASEL Hong Kong

The Page Gallery will participate for the first time in Art Basel Hong Kong, presenting a solo booth by Korean artist Han Jin (b. 1979) in the Insights sector at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Rooted in painting and drawing, Han Jin’s practice expands into video, sound, and installation, forming a distinctive artistic language that explores boundaries, time, and perception through the lens of sound. For this presentation, The Page Gallery brings together major series from the past decade alongside a newly developed sound work, offering a sensory experience where visual and auditory elements intersect and boundaries become unstable.

Through its first participation in Art Basel Hong Kong, The Page Gallery aims to expand its presence on the international stage and further introduce the work of Korean artists to a global audience.
