BMG has acquired publishing interests in the catalog of multi‑Platinum and award‑winning Australian rock band @jet.theband 🎉

The acquisition builds on BMG’s long-term publishing relationship with the band and follows the purchase of their recordings catalog in 2023. Nic Cester, co-founder and frontman of Jet, commented: “We’ve loved working with BMG and we’re excited to extend that partnership to the publishing side, so these songs can keep finding new audiences in the years ahead.”

The Living End are one of Australia’s most formidable and essential rock bands. Since their formation in the suburbs of Melbourne in 1994, the band have honed a sound that draws influence from punk, rockabilly, ska and straight up, balls-to-the-wall rock ‘n’ roll.

Having created early buzz with their EPs ‘Hellbound’ and ‘It’s For Your Own Good’, the band shot to fame in 1997 with the release of their double A-side single “Second Solution” / “Prisoner of Society”, which peaked at No. 4 on the Aus Singles Chart and achieved triple platinum sales. Their self-titled debut album followed soon after, winning Breakthrough Artist, Album and Best Group at the 1998 ARIA Awards, and went on to become one of the highest-selling debut rock albums in Australian history.

The induction will take place as a special standalone event on Thursday, 11 June 2026 at @carriageworks, Sydney, marking a milestone moment as ARIA celebrates the 40th anniversary of the ARIA Awards in partnership with Spotify.

The ARIA Hall of Fame Special Event has been made possible by the NSW Government through @soundnsw. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Office for the Arts and Music Australia.
