@youreyesinthewoods is all out. A full season. Fair warning; personal sappy story time below.

The first picture here is an early poster design I did that will otherwise never see the light of day. It ended up being a bit too grim feeling but I always liked the grungy band t-shirt sort of feeling it had. In the end a lot of the design elements from this ended up influencing the title sequence. Eyes in the Woods was a lot of trying something and then trying something else that ended up being better. I think the result was a collaborative effort that wouldn’t have been possible with any other cast and crew. Even if we ultimately scrapped story beats, scenes, characters, shots, or visual effects, all that creative force is still in the fabric of the show.

The second photo is probably the only non-work related photo I took while shooting. It’s just a thing of gushers but they’re all red. During development and pre-production of Eyes I was in a bit of an (unrelated) creative spiral that took me the better part of a year to get out of. I started this show feeling exhausted and burnt out as a result. The show ended with me still exhausted but with a full heart. Another reminder that without the support of the cast and crew this show doesn’t exist. Being able to lean on our team is the one thing I’ll never take for granted. I cannot thank everyone who helped bring this story to life enough, it required sweat, tears, and sacrifices. There’s no one I would have rather made this thing with. Thanks for trusting in our little Numera team.

Thanks to that same Numera team for keeping me grounded. To our crew for being willing to go higher even when we had already hit the ceiling. To our cast for inhabiting these characters better than Alanna and I could have ever written. Love you all. You make really cool art.
