The Acceleration Project
TAP’s mission is to unlock wealth creation and economic mobility by empowering under-resourced small businesses through tailored, high-impact support.
Small business growth does not start with having all the answers. It starts with asking the right questions.
At the 2026 KNOW Summit, TAP CEO Jane Veron shared an important message for entrepreneurs: there is no shame in asking for help. From understanding cash flow and personal credit to choosing the right type of funding, sustainable growth begins with trusted guidance, financial readiness and support.
At TAP, we help small business owners make their numbers their friends through free financial coaching, marketing guidance and hands-on mentorship designed to build stronger, more resilient businesses.
Because capital alone is not enough. Confidence, preparation and community matter too.

Here’s the impact:
• $10 economic impact for every $1 invested in TAP
• 92% business survival rate after TAP engagement
• 90% of clients create or preserve jobs
• 11,900+ customized engagements delivered since 2012
This is why we do the work every day.
Thank you to citybiz and Co-Publisher Win Warfield for highlighting the importance of investing in small business owners and the organizations working alongside them.

#SuccessStory: Xist Publishing
Calee Lee, founder of Xist Publishing, a woman-owned children’s publishing company based in Rosenberg Texas, joined TAP’s Deep Dive program to bring more structure and strategy to her business after over a decade of growth. With a creative background and no formal business training, she was looking for guidance on how to move forward more intentionally.
Through one-on-one advising, Calee worked with TAP consultants Joan Kantor and Kelvin Leung to strengthen her financial systems and identify the most impactful paths for growth. Together, they focused on clarifying revenue streams and building a more focused marketing approach to support long-term sustainability.
With a clearer direction and stronger foundation in place, Calee is continuing to grow Xist Publishing in a more strategic and sustainable way.

One week ago, Spring for Small Business® 2026 brought together an incredible community to celebrate growth, resilience and what it really takes to transform a business.
From the butterfly theme to the emotion in the room, the night reflected a powerful truth: transformation takes time, belief and the right support.
Using TAP data alongside research from The Bridgespan Group, we’re reminded that every $1 invested in TAP generates $10 in economic impact through revenue growth, job creation and stronger local economies.
The energy was emotional, joyful and deeply inspiring.
We honored leaders, celebrated dedicated consultants, and recognized an outstanding small business owner whose journey embodies what’s possible with the right guidance.
The TAP Showcase brought our mission to life through the entrepreneurs and businesses at the heart of this work.
With gratitude to our sponsors and everyone who made the evening possible.
We’re still carrying the energy from that night and even more committed to what comes next.
