WHCA is proud of our members. We encompass a diverse group of journalists who cover the White House, including 900+ individual members and about 300 news outlets of all kinds and sizes, from a range of viewpoints, mediums and audiences and from locations across the U.S. and the world.

Each day, WHCA serves as the go-between for the journalists who cover the White House - who come from all over the U.S. - and the administration, so they can seek answers from our nation’s highest office on behalf of the American people. It is core to our organization’s mission, to American democracy, and to the needs of the American people to ensure the press has the ability to independently report on the presidency.

Our membership is constantly evolving. Today, WHCA represents 29 “new media” outlets, founded after 2000, to best reflect and advocate for access of the ever-changing media landscape.
