Im hardly one to say to myself “Good Job. You did great!” Ive been proud of myself 6 (ironic since Ursula has 6 tentacles) times in my “cosplay/drag” journey. Winifred Sanderson 1 and 2. Agatha Harkness, two Dorothy Zbornak outfits, and now, what id consider my opus, Ursula. The dress is a trumpet style sweetheart neckline with nude straps. The bolero is a simple bolero style jacket and the tentacles are a series of linked lengths of canvas covered in white cotton and stuffed to create an “articulated tail” movement. I patterned the tentacles using my mannequin. The dress and jacket i used 2 different mccalls patterns. I do not say this lightly…im fucking proud of myself.
If you guessed Ursula…youd be right. Just need to cover where the buckles are and she’s finished!
