T Cribb & Sons is extremely proud to be part of the development of the first Mortuary Centre of Excellence.

The Centre provides specialist training in areas such as reconstructive work, wound restoration, cosmetics, airbrush techniques, and more. But it’s not just about technical ability — this supports dignity, compassion, and giving families the very best possible experience during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

This is an important step forward, not only for our own organisation, but for the funeral profession as a whole. As always, we continue to strive for higher standards, always aiming to provide the very best for the families who place their trust in us at their greatest time of need.

Today the amazing team at the Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors (we have been a proud member of since their inception in 1989) are launching a campaign to educate and inform the country on funerals and the care of a loved one, once they have passed away.

For many years, a tirade of well backed commercials have pushed direct and uncaring cremations, focused on cheaply disposing of a loved one.

While this option has always existed it has now been pushed to the forefront, with many families, after the event, feeling empty and lacking the chance to say goodbye properly.

Funerals are about the deceased but they are also for the living, a civilised and honourable opportunity to say goodbye and to celebrate a life.

Our very own Luke Nickol is taking part in a gruelling triathlon to raise money in aid of Breast Cancer Now, a charity close to his heart.

Breast cancer affects so many women, around 1 in 7 will be diagnosed in their life time. With the help of cancer charities like Breast Cancer Now, survival rates have increased dramatically in the past 50 years in the UK.

Anything you can give to support Luke will be greatly appreciated.

Our youngsters are stepping out in London - Leo and Hugo are starting their careers as carriage horses.This week they are in sunny Islington helping a loved one’s final journey be all the more special and memorable.

A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated Easter Eggs for Women’s Aid this year.
When we first collected the donations, we had around 60 eggs — but thanks to some wonderful last‑minute generosity, another 30 arrived!
In total, we delivered around 91 Easter Eggs.
Women’s Aid were absolutely over the moon with your kindness and support.
