NIKE x sacai will present their latest collaboration with a tracksuit set and sneakers. In conjunction with this launch, they are unveiling their first-ever collaborative project with Yusuke Hanai, featuring his largest 3-meter sculptural work, as well as paintings and sculptures inspired by Nike x sacai. The sculpture carries a message “When we stumble and fall, and feel it’s impossible to carry on, there are people on our side encouraging us to take the next step forward. This bond is essential to our existence.” which is incorporated into the story. Tina Kunakey and Zakari Kunakey brothers in the campaign visual are representing the message from sculpture, the two supporting one another.

“Draw Lines & Shapes in My Maps” is on view at T&Y Gallery in LA until Apr. 06.

“The title of this exhibition is borrowed from the function "Draw Lines and Shapes" section of "My Maps" in Google Maps. The two words "lines and shapes" are closely related to the art such as painting, photography, and sculpture. While "map" is a medium for reconstructing, communicating, and sharing reality (the map serves reality), "My Map" is entirely derived from its personal use. It is also possible to emphasize, exaggerate, distort, or hide certain realities through the conscious use of both lines and shapes. (It could also contain time and emotion.)

This exhibition is a reconstruction of the exhibition held at Taka Ishii Gallery Maebashi from November 19 to December 28, 2023, with the new exhibiting artists. In the Maebashi exhibition, by bringing in this concept of "My Maps" individual artists, who at first were only dots, were able to form a line by connecting dots next to each other and to acquire smoothness and connectivity. This time, by moving the exhibition location from "Maebashi" to "Los Angeles," a completely different place, we aim to practice a new reframing.”
