Watchstand is conceived as a sculptural object that maintains a strong presence regardless of how many watches or pieces of jewellery it holds. Whether fully equipped or nearly empty, it remains visually balanced and intentional.
Precisely milled wooden elements form the structural core of the stand, combining clarity of geometry with a tactile warmth. The upper part is padded with Alcantara, providing a soft, non-slip surface that ensures watches are securely placed while being gently protectedA lower level offers space for smaller jewellery items such as rings or necklaces, extending the stand’s function without compromising its calm, reduced appearance.
Developed for Art du Temps, a watch and jewellery store in Biel, Watchstand contributes to the brand’s ambition to create a refined and immersive customer experience. As part of Art du Temps’ own product range, it reflects the brand’s fascination with materiality, precision, and high-quality Swiss manufacturing.
Tale led the entire development process together with the Art du Temps team, from concept and product design to sourcing, production support, quality control, branding, and packaging. The result is a durable, well-balanced object that elevates the presentation of watches and jewellery while strengthening the brand’s identity through thoughtful design.

Last year, we had the pleasure of working on a very special project for Art du Temps.
With his boutique in Biel, Cédric Schiess has created a place for curiosity, exchange, and a shared passion for watches and jewellery.
Together with the Art du Temps team, we translated this attitude into three physical objects—designed and produced in small series. Reduced, precise, and calm. Objects where time reveals itself in the details: materials, surfaces, and the conscious handling of things.
We accompanied the project from concept and product design through sourcing, production support, quality control, branding, and packaging.

We designed the strategy before we designed the product.

For Camag, we didn’t start with the ADC 3. We started with a design strategy for their entire HPTLC product family.

Sounds like extra work. It is—at first.

But here’s why it pays off.

CAMAG manufactures lab instruments that vary drastically in size, function, and complexity. The challenge: How do you create a cohesive product family that’s instantly recognizable and feels intuitive across all devices?
Our solution: the blue interface panel. A single, iconic element integrating touch control, display, product name, and branding—repeated across the entire product line. Same logic, adapted form.

The result:
→ Faster development for follow-up products
→ Cost reduction through shared components
→ Consistent UX across all devices
→ A recognizable design language that unifies the HPTLC family

The ADC 3 is the first product of this new strategy. More to follow.

This is what we aim for as a design studio—projects that become part of something bigger and pay off for our clients long-term.

More details on our website.

Once again, we had the opportunity to support a social institution in its further development.
For Weizenkorn in Basel, we built a new brand from the ground up. The result: the Living Collection—durable home products that combine reduced design with thoughtful functionality.
From ATLAS, a stool, side table, or bench in one, to PLAK, a foldable trivet designed to store like a book, each piece adapts to everyday living.
Alongside product design, we shaped strategy, packaging, and communication—creating value within Weizenkorn’s workshops and a strong foundation for the future.

Full project on our website.

Seven years ago, we designed the first exhibition system for ETH spin-off MaxWell Biosystems. A modular booth made from standard components, built to grow alongside the company.
We’ve never shared this project before. But with the relaunch of our website last year—now an archive of nearly ten years of work—it felt like the right moment to bring it back.
A simple system, designed to adapt over time.

Two shapes, more possibilities. For the “Alterna direta” bathroom accessory line, we designed both a round and a square glass. This simple choice allows seamless integration with a wide range of faucets and ceramics—whether soft and curved or clean and geometric. A small design decision with a big impact.

How can a high-speed workstation be both highly efficient and ergonomic? That’s the challenge we tackled with Stöcklin when designing SpeedCom—a picking station for automated small-parts warehouses. Our goal: to create a workspace that supports intuitive workflows while ensuring comfort for users of all sizes. Thoughtful ergonomics, optimized lighting, and carefully selected materials make SpeedCom a workstation that enhances both productivity and well-being.

Some products are simply brilliant—but still fly under the radar. Like the modular shelving system Typ 11 by Swiss manufacturer Unima. Its clever, minimalist construction makes assembly easier than most systems, and we’d argue it’s a modern classic of Swiss furniture design.
To make Typ 11 more accessible to a broader audience, we teamed up with Unima to update the color palette, showcase its smart details, and improve the online experience.
Beyond creating new commercial opportunities for Unima, our work helps bring this contemporary product to a wider audience—a system that’s not only modular and repairable but also circular and Swiss Made.
