8 years ago when we moved to California I felt like my wildest dreams were all coming true… filming makeup tutorials at @ipsy, attending rooftop brand parties in Hollywood, traveling to beautiful places doing hair and makeup, even opening up my own studio after getting my aesthetician license, I truly thought I had found my dream come true. Little did I know I’d be jobless after moving back to TN in 2020 with the shutdown and after a few weeks getting all done up to sit at home started to feel a little weird.. I had played around with making cakes as a fun hobby and after sitting down and wondering about my future I decided I no longer wanted to be apart of the makeup and beauty world but instead dive head first into running my own little home bakery. I’m eternally grateful that I decided to make that leap of faith because now I get to work from home with my toddler and decorate cake in my pjs. 🥰 plus little did I know I would get to meet so many incredible people on this journey and have clients I could never have imagined I’d have. Take this as your sign that it’s never too late to change your career and take on something completely new.
