Welp that was the most fun I’ve ever had playing electronic music.I can barely put into words how incredible the whole video team was for this event.So much work and preparation went into creating this new project’s presentation. I’m frankly beside myself not just at how fantastic and effortful everything was, but also at how much genuine fun they all had doing it, especially having them on stage all night as part of the show.

It was by far the most joy I’ve ever experienced playing and my sincerest hope was that would permeate into a truly joyful audience experience. And it really looked like it did! The amount of playfulness and silly shenanigans I saw all night was an incredible sight to behold!The spinny hats! Clown noses! The gooey handslappers! The rubber chickens! it seems like people are getting the memo that shows can be FUN and I am SO here for it.

Seriously THANK YOU ALL who put their faith in this experiment and sold this show out in the first dang week of being on sale.it put just the kind of pressure I live for me and the team to deliver something above and beyond anything we’ve done before and to create an experience genuinely worth leaving the house for.It was a lot of work, but way more importantly, it was a lot of fun.

Well... That happened! What an amazing evening Saturday was!If it felt like a movie, it’s because the cast & crew would fill up a credits sequence. Jonathan Singer, Jonna P, Zip and Juice took full advantage of every square inch of the totally engulfing projection mapped room.Entangled Mind, Chmura, Duffrey, and Face Plant made dang sure there was no reason to arrive late, and no reason to leave early. How about the amazing stilt-walking and shenanigans from Ali Luminescent Productions?! Looking out into the crowd and seeing the people totally unaware of the giant rainbow parachute descending upon them from behind is absolutely a new core memory.

I’ll never be able to thank sound engineers Dan and Ron and the innumerous and invaluable Chocolate Factory staff enough for really making my whole complicated live band sound puzzle possible on the quadraphonic void rig not to mention holding down the fort and running a buttery smooth operation from dusk till freaking dawn.

I gotta really give an extra proper and specific shout out to Austin and The Chocolate Factory mgmt. I spent a year pitching this project to venues in New York and they were the only ones that we’re willing to take this whacky thing on... the only venue in town that didn’t immediately say no or ask how “Well how many tickets are you good for? what’s you market history bla bla bla.” They either understood the vision or trusted me and the other artists with any part of it that they didn’t.This was honestly a genuine risk. The chocolate factory is huge and I’ve never done any kind of headline attempt in this city before. Heck, I’ve never even produced an event before. We literally had no idea who would show up.

But WOW y’all absolutely packed that room the f out! Thank you so much everyone who came, especially those who traveled a great distance! It took 1000 people to make this weekend what it was and I’ll be showing my gratitude towards it all in the only way that feels appropriate... by planning a sequel

@entangled_mind really is one of the artists I’ve been more excited about over the last few years. a welcome whirlwind of sonic ideas and explorations in this current Wild West neo-psychedelic cultural landscape. Entangled Mind is one of those rare producers in this scene that can really dive deep and flex hyper modern sound design but yet somehow without compromising or sacrificing in any musicality or emotional transmission. The work is dense, explosive and surgically thoughtful. I’m very much about it.
