At ALab.Studio, we embrace the beauty of the analog world in an era dominated by the digital. Our work is rooted in the desire to create something lasting - art & design that carries meaning, texture, and a human touch.

Our „Originals“ are organic & handmade textile, wool-based pieces, which offer a tangible experience - one that invites reflection, warmth, and a sense of belonging.

Each „Original“ creation is carefully handcrafted in Vienna from organic, sustainable materials, shaped through a slow and intentional process. We embrace organic forms and the authenticity of raw materials, allowing every piece to tell its own story. No two works are ever the same - standing as a quiet alternative to industrial mass production.

Beyond aesthetics, our work explores personal and social themes, sparking conversation and connection. Our wall-pieces are also acoustically functional, improving sound and atmosphere while enriching the space they inhabit. Through custom-made commissions, we craft rugs, wall sculptures, and interior pieces that are both art and design, creating spaces that inspire, comfort, and connect.

Klaglings are beings that embody grief or take it on - not necessarily in pain, but perhaps even healing. Klaglings are “grief recyclers.”- a place where things are allowed to stay. Where time stretches, traces remain, and real connection is possible. The digital world moves fast, leaving little room for depth; so much is fleeting, polished, optimized. In working with textiles, I’ve found the opposite: a tactile home, a space that embraces imperfection.

The Klagling stands for this space - quiet, soft, receptive.
It’s a reminder that it’s okay to feel.
And that you don’t have to carry everything alone.
