A little throwback to our Mid-Autumn Festival gathering in October 🌕✨

Our production designer Sam Lam, cinematographer Austin Kwok, and editor Nicole Kong brought the team together with traditional festival desserts and shared the meaning behind the celebration.

What started as a sweet break turned into real connection. We shared what we were grateful for, what we were looking forward to that season, and got to learn more about each other’s cultures. It was one of those small but special moments that keep our PARADISE family inspired. 💛

Introducing our director, S.S. Ayers!

A D.C. born storyteller whose work moves between stage and screen with power and intention.

Currently a Directing Fellow at AFI, Ayers made waves directing the world premiere of Dominique Morisseau’s Confederates at Signature Theatre, earning an Antonyo Award and a Drama League nomination. She later joined Broadway as Associate Director on Skeleton Crew before making her own acting debut in Kenny Leon’s Home in 2024.

Her web series The Next Right Thing has screened at festivals across the country, from Bushwick to BronzeLens to Miami Web Fest.

Ayers is a proud SDC + Actors’ Equity member and the co-founder of [RARE] Lotus Productions.
