We’ve been revisiting some past work and got @akthedirector to share a little BTS from this one.

We flew to the Amazon to film a surfer riding the Pororoca, a never-ending wave, for Investec. 🌊

Like AK said, once in a career. Life-changing stuff.

Got questions? Drop them in the comments, we’d love to share more.

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 – 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧.✨

There are times when negotiation is the best course. And there are times when you just have to put your foot down. It’s an insight that Liberty’s ad agency, TBWA, cleverly leveraged to create their new commercial. It’s also one they applied when choosing the right director to help bring it to life. A decision almost as critical as securing your child’s future success.

When quality direction is non-negotiable, Spitfire’s Bongani Morgan is your man. Bongani took TBWA’s simple, powerful idea and embellished it beautifully — with respect, restraint and an unwavering commitment to the agency’s vision. With his trademark attention to detail, authentic performances and vivid visuals, Bongani makes the case for a smart future that everyone can relate to.

Want to secure your idea’s future success? Give us a call today. Bongani will be only too happy to share his learnings with you too.

New Year’s resolutions? They’re made to be broken. Unless you box clever. And, in Januworry, you need to box more clever than ever. Thanks to KFC you can.

KFC’s latest offering is the perfect way for those with tightened belts to loosen up a little. A Crunch Burger, Chicken, Chips and cold drink for just R64.90 is a smart choice. As smart as getting Spitfire’s Katlego Baaitse to shoot your board. Katlego’s new work for KFC is uncluttered, smart and delivers an extra order of appetite appeal that’s simply irresistible. Authentic performances – a Katlego trademark – bring the idea home and leave viewers thinking that maybe boxing clever could be the best New Year’s resolution ever.

Hungry to turn your idea into something really tasty? Call Spitfire now and we’ll get Katlego to box clever for you too. Because you don’t get a more appetising combo than Katlego, your idea and Spitfire. Order now!

𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐤-𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐈𝐂.

Back to school.📚 Where’s the fun in that? Well, for parents . . . say no more! But for kids, it’s the start of a whole new year – and a blank page just waiting to be filled with crazy ideas and awesome adventures. This is the insight identified by BIC’s agency Boundless which forms the basis of their new campaign – and Boundless needed someone with equally limitless imagination to bring their vision to life.

As it turns out, Spitfire Director Katlego Baaitse’s middle name could be “Limitless”, if he really wanted one. But he doesn’t. Instead he’d rather use his limitless imagination and talent to make work that’s fresh, engaging and, in the case of BIC’s new feel-good commercial, warm and uplifting too.

But take a look for yourself. And then, if you’d like Katlego to bring some of that same passion, performance craft and imagination to your work, give us a call and let’s ink in a meeting. Because every great piece of work begins with a blank page – and a sky full of imagination.

𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐣𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐉𝐓 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐍𝐎

Star quality. Some would say it’s indefinable, intangible, an elusive "je ne sais quoi". We say true star quality stands out like a 24K light on a midnight set. It just shines. Nigerian Afropop star Joeboy @joeboyofficial is one example. We like to think that Spitfire Director JT is another. Put them together and you’ve got work that really dazzles. ⚡

Which is what happened when the two of them combined for TECNO Mobile Nigeria’s epic new commercial, celebrating both TECNO’s AI offering and their sponsorship of the Africa Cup Of Nations 2025. JT lit up the pitch with an energetic, wide-ranging production that’s got all the moves – from the change room to the boardroom, the living room to the finale.

Looking for some of that star quality for your work? ⭐Pick up your own mobile and call Spitfire today. JT’s ready to help your light shine like a 24K too.

As Yaaseen Barnes says, “You think you know extreme?” Well check out Paul Ramaema’s newest work for Lenovo and their Reach Your Impossible Challenge. That’s extreme. 💥

Teaming up with threeof South Africa’s top gamers and creators — Baby Daiz, Furious Kitty, and Sibu Mpanza — Lenovo set out to show what the all-new Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is really made of.
Infusing the popularity and mainstream impact of South Africa’s car spinning sub-culture with the world of tech and gaming, Lenovo boldly took extreme gaming to the next level in a livestream on Lenovo’s Legion Gaming Community.🏎️

A move as bold as Paul’s direction. Bringing pace, personality and punch to each of the campaign pieces, Paul ties it all together with sweeping moves, aggressive cuts and a powerful, visual language that underlines the exhilaration of drifting while at the same time gaming on a Lenovo Pro 7i – in the passenger seat!

Extreme? For sure. It’s all about pushing limits, which is precisely how Paul operates. Call Spitfire today and we’ll get Paul to help you reach your impossible too.

13 years. 105+ awards. One wild journey. 🎉

What started as a leap of faith between @lieslacefirereal and @akthedirector has grown into a production house that makes impossible look like just another Tuesday.

We’re officially teenagers and we celebrated the milestone surrounded by our extended family.

To everyone that has made Spitfire what it is today, THANK YOU!

(Link in bio) 🔥 Spitfire at 13, a production company that grew up its own way 🔥

Thirteen years is a long time in advertising. It’s even longer in production. Which is why Spitfire’s teenage birthday lands with real weight: a fresh reel, a wall of awards, a new generation of women coming up through the ranks, and some of its strongest creative years to date.
