Through the act of carrying water and working with earth, the performance draws on rituals as a way of holding and transmitting embodied histories - particularly those tied to women’s labor, rituality, and community. Situated within a European memorial site, the work draws from personal and collective reflections of colonial violences across geographies and its residues within a contemporary space. It inhabits the fragile space between remembering and forgetting.“

The exhibition brings together Jahy Hwang and Tobias Friedauer to explore translation, perception, and shifting temporalities. Hwang’s work traces attempts to translate sound and sensory archives, revealing transformation and distortion, while Friedauer examines how bodies and gestures are shaped and redefined by spatial contexts. Together, the works reflect on an obsessive return to what resists articulation, where images, texts, movements, and encounters linger beyond language. Borrowing from Joan Didion’s reflections on memory and fascination, the exhibition unfolds as a network of echoes and displacements.
