Day 5/100 days of practice.
Just got my own trombone back! The slide is still catching with a bit of resistance but nowhere near as bad as it was before. Switching to slide cream instead of oil seems to help too! Getting back into the horn by learning my bebop scales today.

Almost forgot to post this one! I didn’t take any other videos today but this one where I tried playing the Bordogni WAY too slow 😮💨. Very rough, lots to work on, but I’m hoping that I can get back on my own horn tomorrow and get comfortable with this piece again!

Getting used to the borrowed horn with Kopprash No. 7. While it definitely feels different getting some of the lip slurs done, the struggle in the high register is all me. Really trying to make my high notes as effortless as my low one with some good breathe support!

Running through the Jerry Croker book of patterns for jazz on a large bore horn tonight as my own smalls bore got into an accident today and bent its slide out of shape :((. You can hear the resistance of this one hissing out my mute! Trying to get the hang of playing it while hammering in some patterns before I go to sleep.
