A short extract from an audio visual piece I made this year.... My inspiration started with the concept of collective consciousness, and I am fascinated at how this work and theme evolved through the process. I continue to see it evolve in the layers of symbolism and meaning that are in it.
Creating this work was such a powerful experience, and continues to be. I'm in awe of the creative process and how art can speak through us, in ways we may not fully comprehend ourselves in the moment.
What a gift this process is. The greatest gift this year gave me. 🙏❤️✨

The prayer tree at Teltown House, in Meath, the site for Assembly, Breath, Resonance on June 14th. This event will run as part of the Take me to the River series, by The Solstice Arts Centre. We'll walk the land, learn about the ancient history of the site, connect through deep listening, and tune in to the local ecology. It's a beautiful, ancient place, alive with enchanting stories of the past and vibrant energy. I'm really looking forward to this special event. ☀️

At the heart of my work is the act of listening... I believe that something in us shifts when we listen deeply. Whether that is listening to curated sound, to music, to our environment, to each other, or even to ourselves.
Listening is a practice, an art. When we forget how to listen we lose so much.
I hope you have an opportunity to practice listening today, whether to someone else, to the wind, or maybe to something inside that needs you to listen. ❤️

Huge thanks to the Solstice Arts Centre for inviting me to facilitate "Beyond Words: mindful mark making" - a deep listening sound and explorative drawing workshop, designed to engage and respond to the Tracing Echoes exhibition by Mark Francis. His collection of Visual Music works are striking, unique and incredibly resonant.
Thanks to everyone that came and explored together.
If you have a bit of free time, I highly recommend a trip to Navan to see this unique exhibition.

Sound to Symbol, a multi-sensory workshop, where sound meets mindful processing through creative practice. All welcome, no experience of sound baths or an artistic/creative practice necessary. This is purely about exploration and expression, beyond words, for deeper processing and integration.

There's just something about mist that always gets me. A reminder of the way of things, and the mystery of it all. Just hanging there. Dancing over the land, and with the light. Tangible, but not. Maybe it's just me, but things like this arelike a gift from beyond to me! ... a brief moment of connection with the miracle of it all, to blow my heart wide open again ✨❤️✨

This year I had the pleasure of working on "Art-icle 12" with @helenbarryartsand the Central Remedial Clinic school: A creative programme designed to empower very young children with disabilities, helping them find their voice and express themselves through the arts. As a child led programme, it was exploratory and ever evolving. Many of the kids had varying physical needs, some neuro-divergence, and some non-verbal. It was such a rich experience with so much learning. One of the main things I learned is that there is so much to be understood when we communicate beyond words. When you slow down and really pay close attention, you can understand so much more about a person's experience than perhaps could ever be communicated in language. It made me wonder, how often do we look beyond the words (especially in conflict) to see what else is present? 

This work has inspired me, beyond words! And has influenced how I approach my work more generally too. What a gift. 

I'm so looking forward to working with Helen again next year in 2 new schools, and exploring all there is to learn from those eager early years minds ❤️
