“Wake up Starlings, we have a city to burn”

This is second single from my upcoming album…an album that perfectly captures the outrage I’ve been feeling lately. I’ve touched on so much of the jazz in cyber jazz already , but with this album it was time to touch on the ‘punk’ aspect of the cyberpunk half of cyber jazz. Cyberpunk began as a political and societal critique. It’s so much more than just an aesthetic. It too is an outrage at the direction capitalism and corporatism has been leading our society since the late 70s/early 80s. So much vice, pain, and suffering. It is a warning, not an aspiration. So this album will be confronting the gritty reality of life in the post-capital dystopia, with my own glamorous cyber jazz flair. It’s time to wake up Starlings, we have a city to burn.
