The scene was shot on a Steadicam to stabilize the camera while the two actors are talking.

I wanted to share the lighting diagram for the main visual look I’ve been creating in my recent videos, just in case it helps anyone looking for ideas for their own space.
One of the key ways I transform my living room to look more like a studio environment is by creating texture.

I always try to keep my setup times as quick as possible, and the method I’ve found that works best is positioning my Aputure light at an angle where it can do two things at once.

It illuminates the side of the blinds on the left to create depth there, while also spilling just enough light towards the right side of the frame.
By then placing simple DIY cardboard strips in front of that spill, I can also create those blue bars on the right, which adds even more texture.

When you pair this with a bit of control over the ambient light in the room, it creates that studio look I strive for.

I hope this gives you some ideas for your own projects!
