I’m building a body of work about the lesbian figure. This is a devotional painting for the Butches, like my last one. This was originally titled “You’re safe inside me”, but I grew attached to this character and wanted to give them a name.

My residency at McGuffey is coming to a close, which is really sad, but I have some new things cooking up for the future. Watch this space 😏🌈✨

Been wanting to incorporate more ceramics into my practice, I like how it fits into the figurative nature of my work. Lumps of clay are the ‘clay body’, ceramic bottles might have ‘shoulders’ and ‘lips’, you can smooth the edges of your piece with a ‘rib’… you understand.
