Moonchild.
Writing takes a lot out of me. It keeps me in patterns that are, perhaps, unhealthy. I have quit it many times, like trying to get rid of a bad habit. Like smoking cigarettes.
I know there’s a version of reality outside my window. But I just keep mistaking the curtain for this reality.I like the colors and the patterns in it, I suppose. Perhaps, someday i will eventually have to push aside the curtain and see reality for what it is. Maybe I need to step out of my room. But meanwhile, I will continue to write. It will be the death of me.
Moonchild.
It’s my third book and my shortest. Just 114 pages.
It took me 4 years to finish my first book. Second one took me about 3 years.
Moonchild, I finished in just about 3 months. It just flowed, perhaps because it is my most honest book yet. It deals with art and Instagram, and the existential struggles that most honest artists go through in these times of AI. But then again, it is also about obsession and grief of unrequited love. It is as much about art as it is about love. Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate between the two. And both suffer in this age of algorithms. But how does one cope with the loss of both art and love? In quiet, sometimes terrifying, contemplation of the two, I suppose.
Anyway, it’s been a ride, Moonchild. Adios!

We are so deeply entrenched in our reality that we rarely stop and question it. We take it for granted, surrounding ourselves with “people, places, and things”. Within these addictions, our reality feels like an absolute truth. But, if you were to stop and question, and if you sit with these questions, you may discover something new, something terrifying, and ironically, something truer. Maybe you will find the evidence for the impossible that breaks your reality.
This book is an attempt to break yours.
Three years in the making. Here it is.
A book about everything and nothing.
A book about life and death.
About reality and unreality.

I was 14 years old when I first dreamt of being a published author. Over the next 20 years, through many personal crises, I kept working towards realizing this. Now, here it is. My first novel - Song of the Whale.
It is about a group of people searching for a whale in Bangalore.
It is NOT a great book. It is an honest book that took me countless sleepless nights of writing, and heartache, over the last 4 years. The result is a 178 pages book that costs you Rs. 200 and an average of 6hrs of reading to learn about a whale that is haunting the city. Buy. Support. Thank you!
The book is available at Blossom Book House and Bookworm Store in Bangalore (support your local bookstores!)

“All my life, I wondered about the space but never saw the moon. Now, when I stare into the sky, my aging eyes can witness only two things — moon and its absence.”
